Autumn in the Southern Alps

Ticino, it is one of my favourite places. Since 2006, every year I visit Canton Ticino to hike, take photographs or just to enjoy the fascinating landscapes.
The huge chestnut forests of the Southern Alps are a wonderful contrast to the north. The narrow valleys with their steep slopes, waterfalls and old stone houses give the landscape a mystical touch. Time is necessary for this place; long walks combined with photographing are always possible, especially along the rivers. For me, the best weather to do photos down there is having clouds or drizzle. 😉
