Beauty Queen

The Variegated Iris (Iris variegata) is a rare local beauty of the Pannonian region in Austria. It grows in open stony areas, steppe habitats and on sunny slopes and forest edges. I found it in the northest part of Lower Austria, in the Nationalpark Thayatal.
