Death Awaits

Malayan pit vipers (Calloselasma rhodostoma) are regionally quite common in southern Thailand. They are extremely well camouflaged, which can lead to people stepping on them and being bitten. I used a flash lying on the ground to emphasize the shape of this individual curled up among the leaves.
