Fisherman’s Friends

I know the display title is a little provoking and if you ever saw these ravenous birds hunting you know that they catch a lot of fish and can cause substantial harm on fish ponds. But we have to accept, that we share this planet with other predators and that hunting and fishing is not a privilege of mankind – but sharing is not our strength.
Because of this fact many species are exterminated or close to extinction. This happened to the cormorant too, about 1900 the bird was nearly extinct, and coming back in the last years it causes stormy discussions about being shot down again.
