Piglet

When you hear the voice of a Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) in the reed for the first time, maybe you are scared by the loud squealing sound. For me the feeling was to be overrun by a stampeding pig in the next few seconds. But if you ever can see the small bird you will wonder how the hidden way of living fits together with making this noise. My explanation is, otherwise the partners would not find each other in the reed jungle.
