The Photographers

Robert Haasmann
I love to connect myself with nature. Being a part of it and just watch, explore and enjoy. Most of my subjects I find near my austrian home from the alps to Lake Neusiedl but also on journeys to the northern parts of our beautiful planet.

Horst Ender
I was born in 1961 and I’m lucky to live in the rear part of the Zillertal (Austria, Tirol). As an instructor for high alpine terrain, I spend most of my spare time in the mountains. During all this activities, my camera equipment is my faithful companion.

Hans Schön
I’m a part of nature and nature is a part of me. My ambition is to share the wonders I see through my camera with other people to make a sense for the surrounding world and living creatures.

Karin Rollett-Vlcek
Butterflies and orchids are my world.
To present their variety and beauty is my intention – with my special kind of view.

Gerhard Vlcek
For me nature photography is the preferred way to find recreation from my stressful managing job during the week. The camera is my tool to capture the beauty of nature – especially the most hidden little secrets of butterflies and orchids. As an ambitious photographer I am not fixated on a special field of interest.

Markus Thek
Nature keeps me in balance, it is the positive pole that keeps my inner battery well-loaded. A short walk in the forest, a hike through the mountains, the pleasant aroma of a meadow full of flowers or the loud bubbling of a mountain stream – all these phenomena and experiences give me strength and inspiration.

Walter Oberhofer
Born in 1967 in lower Austria. Nature photography is my passion, especially the behavior of birds and mammals in wildlife. I want to share the beautiful moments and impressions from my trips all over europe.

Leopold Kanzler
Through my images I try to convey the beauty and charm of nature and wildlife to other people. In doing so I hope to strengthen the consciousness for the protection of animals and nature conservation. My preferred subjects are mammals and birds.

Ewald Neffe
For more than 20 years nature photography is part of my life. I try to create emotions with my pictures, to focus the view on the essential and to illustrate the miracle of creation.

Franz Wierer
There’s nothing more beautiful for me than being outside, observing wildlife, learning from nature and taking pictures. It’s always a pleasure to show this to other people by the means of my images.

Gerhard Kummer
I love to reproduce nature through my camera and to inspire others to nature. My spare time and now my work I like to spend in nature in and around Austria. This gives me a balanced life and bring me the same recovery. Wildlife and landscape photography I run a lot. In these two genres of nature photography, I can express my creativity optimally expressed.

Heinz Hudelist
Born in Villach Austria, I work as a prof. photographer since 1984 – mainly in advertising and for the industry. Since 2005 my passion for nature and wildlife photography takes more and more place in my life. I organize nature photography workshops and do retouching jobs as well.

Christian Wappl
Born in French Polynesia, I spent the first nine years of my life travelling the world on a sailing yacht with my parents. Seeing the world’s rich biodiversity at such a young age left me with a deep connection with nature, which eventually led to a Master’s degree in biology. I hope to inspire conservation by showing people the beauty and diversity of nature in remote corners of the world, but also in their own backyards.

Marc Graf
As a professional photographer and conservation ecologist I consider myself a „PR agent“ for nature. I focus on endangered wildlife species, conservation topics and aim at raising awareness for our environment and its inhabitants.

Nicholas Roemmelt
Being outside means being possible to become part of nature, where nothing else matters than the present moment. I think, the tremendous beauty of nature is the most precious gift we should preserve for the future generations. „Taking pictures“ is my way of bringing home some of my experiences as well as being possible to show people some of that fragile magic that is worth being preserved.

Arnold Schaffer
Spending time outside brings balance to my life. Photography is the perfect medium for me to express the experiences that I have in nature. I am pleased to share some of my most memorable moments with you.

Sonja Jordan
Spending my time outdoors and exploring nature, landscape and other countries is my great passion and an important part of my life. I always try to capture nature with all its fascinating shapes, colours and details as I experience it and make it accessible to others to show how important it is to preserve the beauty of nature.

Bernhard Schubert
Born in 1992 and raised in a natureloving family, I study biology in Vienna since 2012. The tropical rainforest is my territory and the camera is my weapon. Ever since I can remember, I was fascinated by this ecosystem. Here I can find everything from bizarre looking creatures in wild untouched forests to beautifully coloured birds giving a nice and simple composition.

Raimund Brandstätter
I was interested in nature since my childhood and became a member of the VTNÖ in 2013.
With pleasure I capture and show the impressive wonders of Mother Earth. There is no need to travel far when most of them can be found all around you, even close to home. A lot of animals, plants and nature in general are in great danger today. Help us to protect them and to fight for their habitats. I hope my pictures will raise your conscience.

Manfred Pölzlbauer
To spend time out in nature is more than a passion for me. It’s the feeling of freedom and the feeling to be a part of it! Making pictures of our precious nature shows me the sensitivity of the environment, and helps me to understand the connections of the ecosystem. Nature is everything we have – an we have to protect it. My favorite subjects are coasts, waterfalls, mountains, but I also love to photograph plants and animals.

Rupert Kogler
Experiencing untouched places always touched me deeply and in nature photography I finally found the tool which allows me to also find my place out there. So on the one hand this is my way to gather enriching moments and on the other hand this is my most important communication tool to display the universal beauty and importance of our natural world to a larger audience. My little contribution trying to restore the mostly lost connection of modern societies to true nature.

Jörg Bonner
We’re stuck in a fast-paced world, with our minds full of questionable desires and our bodies surrounded by industry and concrete. Nature photography is my way of escaping modern day city life and through my images I try to tell the stories of adventure and freedom I experience capturing the last truly wild places on our planet.

Rainer Mirau
Spending time in natural surroundings regularly is not just recreation and inspiration for me, but is a necessity in order to lead a balanced life.
Landscape photography is the ideal occupation, as I can live out my creativity and experience beautiful moments in nature as well.

Andreas Resch
Finding yourself between trees and mountains is a wonderful gift by itself. Being able to use your creativity in combination with all that is a thrilling trip. Once you were in the middle of this experience, you’re hooked.

Herfried Marek
Born in 1960 I spent my childhood in the Styrian Ennstal. I’m a father of three wonderful kids and work as a financial advisor and loan agent. Member of the Austrian association of wildlife and nature photography.
